In response to increasingly strict regulations on exhaust gas emissions, there has been a notable surge in the use of alternative fuels for ships, including liquefied gases like LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) and other low-flashpoint fuels like methanol. We are committed to delivering courses that align with the STCW and IMO Model Course standards for IGF Code training, ensuring that trainees attain the essential competence required for safe operations on ships utilizing gases or other low-flashpoint fuels as stipulated by the Code of Safety for Ships.  

Masters, Officers and Engineers with immediate responsibility for the care and use of fuels and fuel systems shall hold a certificate in IGF Advanced training according to STCW A-V/3 §7.  This course is also highly recommended for ETO’s and other Officers. 

20 hours self-study with web-based learning platform 

2 days presence training (online classroom). 
Objectives
Advanced understanding of physical and chemical principles related to alternative fuels. 

In-depth knowledge of gas theory and fuel properties. 

Extensive training in complex process simulation, bunker planning, risk assessment, and emergency response, including two simulated bunker exercises. 
Certification
Each of the participants receives a STCW certificate of participation after completion of the training and online test.
